"Destiny" was conceived as a game in the third person, according to director
In an interview with Game Informer, the artistic director of Bungie, Ryan Ellis, revealed that "Destiny" was originally conceived as a game with third-person view.
"To some extent, the game was only in third person. However wanted to create a great action game, so we decided that the first person view was the right way to do it," said Ellis.
What was created in the third person, however, was not discarded. According to the director, there are sequences in "Destiny" in which the player can see the character he is controlling.
"There are some elements in the third person.'s Important for the gameplay and show its legal moves and nifty equipment you accumulate," he explained.
Shooter MMO for consoles
The proposed "Destiny" is bold and original, promising to bring to the islands of experience with MMO elements similar to franchises like "Borderlands" and "Dark Souls."
This is the first multiplatform game produced by Bungie, the studio that created the "Halo" series and was one of the most responsible for popularizing the FPS genre in the last two generations of consoles.
"Destiny" will hit stores on September 9, 2014, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
