Studio of "God of War" and "The Order" dismissing employees
The studio Sony Santa Monica, the "God of War" series and the highly anticipated "The Order: 1886" fired several employees on Tuesday (25). The information was confirmed by the company.
"Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that it has completed the reduction of the workforce studio Sony Santa Monica. This is the result of a cycle of realignment of resources in priority areas of growth within the SCE Worldwide Studios," the company said.
"We do not take these decisions easily. However, sometimes it is necessary to make changes that will best serve future studio projects. We offer relocation services to ease the transition of those who were impacted by the measures."
Canceled project?
According heard by the U.S. IGN, one of the projects that Sony Santa Monica working sources was canceled. Neither the studio nor Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed this information.
Best known for the franchise "God of War", Sony Santa Monica is currently working on "The Order: 1886", and shooting action game set in a "steampunk" version of the King Arthur legend, exclusive to PlayStation 4.
