"The Last of Us" received the award for 'Outstanding Writing for Video Games' by the Writer's Guild of America, the union of writers of the United States.
The game of Naughty Dog was the winner in the race which included "Batman: Arkham Origins", "Lost Planet 3", "God of War: Ascension" and "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag".
The game's creative director, Neil Druckmann, accepted the award and thanked fans for the support of Twitter. "Thanks for the kind words. Again could not be more proud of being a Naughty Dog" he wrote. "Congratulations to all the nominees!".
"The Last of Us" was one of the most awarded games by specialized media in 2013, also being considered for Game of the Year Nv Gamer.
No man's land
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, "The Last of Us" tells the story of the duo Joel and Ellie, who need to cross the U.S. by force of circumstances.
During the journey, the two must face the dangers of the world, from yeast controlled by groups of violent and opportunistic people who live in the desolate terrain zombies.
With dubbing and subtitles and Brazilian Portuguese, "The Last of Us" is a PS3 exclusive.
