Focus of the next "Call of Duty" is the next-generation consoles

CFO of Activision, Eric Hirshberg said last Monday (10) at IGN that the next "Call of Duty" will be made primarily for consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

First "Call of Duty" studio Sledgehammer, third developer in charge of taking care of the franchise, the game will have adaptations for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, unlike what happened with "Call of Duty: Ghosts," which offered a slim package for new platforms due to the limitations of the previous consoles.

"Obviously, in a transition year for consoles, anyone who developed a game for both generations have to face the fact that the technology of the new platform was being presented and amended throughout the production process," Hirshberg said.

The executive assured that now that the new generation consoles are established in the market, they are the priority for the teams of "Call of Duty" series.
