Studio "FlatOut" Kickstarter cancels new racing game

The Bugbear Entertainment announced Friday the cancellation of the campaign via Kickstarter to fund the game "Next Car Game". The developer put the project on the "crowdfunding" website on the 1st of November, lasting until December 1, but decided to quit trying because the money accumulated so far not represent even one-third of the target set.

"Despite our Kickstarter campaign has attracted tremendous enthusiasm during the last few weeks it became obvious that we were not going to reach our goal," admitted the Bugbear Enterteinment.

In order to accumulate U.S. $ 350,000 (approximately £ 800,000), the bill came close to $ 82 billion (about U.S. $ 187,000) to the time of cancellation.

Game will not be canceled

Despite the end of the Kickstarter campaign, "Next Car Game" will be produced by Bugbear Enterteinment. Approved by Steam Greenlight, the project will also be driven by pre-orders at their official website costing from $ 25.

As a thank you to fans, the developer has launched a technological demonstration of the game, the studio used to test deployments with the cars within the game, such as damage and destruction of environments.

The plan is to launch a Bugbear Enterteinment PC version of the game in 2014, entitled to early access via Steam Early Access. Goals for versions of Xbox and PlayStation 4 One were part of Kickstarter and the company has not clarified whether these will be produced even with the cancellation.

The Bugbear Enterteinment is famous for "FlatOut" series and had the last job "Ridge Racer Unbounded", which came out for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
