Sega Atlus gives permission to work with their dormant franchises
In a statement given to Famitsu, the COO of Sega Sammy, Naoya Tsurumi, Atlus has stated that permission to work with all dormant intellectual property of your company.
Atlus, which was recently acquired by Sega, will continue to manage their own brands, such as "Persona" and "Shin Megami Tensei", while Sega will be responsible for selling these securities.
Although given carte blanche to use Atlus franchises that are in the fridge, Sega will not force the developer to do so.
Among the brands that Sega were not recently used are "Shenmue", "Sakura Wars", "Jet Set Radio" and "Space Channel 5". "There are several (brands) that are not active. Nevertheless, the new company is just beginning, so there's nothing on the table for now, but we'll definitely think about it," added Tsurumi.
