Bethesda says "Fallout" classics back to Steam

Through Twitter, Bethesda Softworks reported that it is working to bring the three original games "Fallout" ("Fallout", "Fallout 2" and "Fallout Tactics") to digital distribution platform Steam series.

The rights of these games were transferred to Bethesda by Interplay Entertainment, the original producer, after a court victory publisher of "Elder Scrolls" and so were removed from the online store Good Old Games on December 31.

The reason for withdrawal, according to the company, is to remove the legal information regarding Interplay and replace them with Bethesda.

There is information on the back of the GOG.com games catalog, its first online retailer, which posted them for free in his last days with the license.

Through Twitter, Bethesda said "We'll look at other options after dealing with Steam."

The apocalypse from another perspective

The "Fallout" unique, different from its recent editions, was an RPG with isometric perspective shifts, taking inspiration from "Wasteland" - another classic Interplay.

Interplay went bankrupt and sold the rights to the series to Bethesda in 2004. "Fallout 3", now in prospect of first or third person as "Elder Scrolls" released in 2008 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, was a critical success and audience.

Some of the leading creators and developers of the original series, now in Obsidian worked on "Fallout: New Vegas," which included some elements of what would be the "Fallout 3" Interplay, the game that was canceled after the company's bankruptcy.
