Producer of "Plants vs. Zombies:. Warfare Garden" staff resigns
PopCap Games, EA producer connected to and responsible for the franchise "Plants Vs. Zombies", suffered a series of layoffs this week, shortly after the release of "Garden Warfare," online shooting game based on the colorful world of plants and dead-alive.
The exact number of dismissed employees was not confirmed. A source from Kotaku talking about 40 people.
The layoffs occurred shortly after an internal reorganization in the company PopCap divided into two teams, one responsible for console games and games for other platforms for mobile.
The general director of PopCap, John Vechey, ranked layoffs as "painful but necessary".
Fight in the garden
"Plants vs. Zombies:. Warfare Garden" is a multiplayer shooter with competitive and cooperative modes, with the right to split for players of Xbox One screen version of new generation runs at 60 frames per second.
