Even ten years after its release, "Resident Evil Outbreak" still has an active community of fans. Proof of this is the 'Outbreak Server' project, which could recreate the server online game for PlayStation 2 for your co-op network started again.
Through a process of reverse engineering, a group of fans found a way to enable online for Japanese copies of "Outbreak" and "Outbreak File # 2". For now, American or European copies of games are not compatible with the new server.
Official documentation of the project leaders recommended that fans use a PlayStation 2 compatible with Japanese discs, not emulators, to access the service and to avoid bugs.

Exclusive to the PlayStation 2, "Resident Evil Outbreak" was the first game of the series with cooperative gameplay and online play.
The title tells the story of a number of different characters that must face the zombie infestation in Raccoon City. The expansion "File # 2" came out a year after the original package, including five additional playable episodes.
